June 5, 2006 — Orlando, FL — A state-of-the-art Women’s Health Center at Winter Park Memorial Hospital, a Florida Hospital, is on its way to being built thanks in part to a generous donation of $250,000 from the Jallad family, owners of Winter Park-based Accredited Surety and Casualty Company. The family’s donation, from sisters Deborah and Sharon and their husbands, Johnny and Samir, is one of the largest ever received by the hospital.
The Women’s Health Center will be a three-story Spanish architecture building equipped with all the latest technologies to foster the best medical care. The main emphasis will be on the third floor where the Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place will be located.
“Since more than 60 percent of our patients are women, it is only fitting that we build a center dedicated to their medical needs,” said Kenneth W. Bradley, senior vice president at Winter Park Memorial Hospital. “This generous donation from the Jallad family will help us build a center for women and help continue to provide excellent medical care in the Winter Park community. We are grateful for the Jallad family’s leadership on our Foundation Family Board of Directors and appreciate their heartfelt support of our project.”
The Jallad family serve on the hospital’s Foundation Family Board of Directors. Accredited is Central Florida’s largest women-owned business.
"Our family is proud to support the Women’s Health Center at Winter Park Memorial Hospital," said Deborah Jallad, president of Accredited. "This much-needed community resource will provide valuable services to women throughout the community."
The construction of the Women's Health Center is part of Winter Park Memorial Hospital’s expansion project. Projects such as these are made possible through the generous philanthropic support from the community.
